"This is it. No turning back. Another Christmas laying trenches."
- Kevin McCallister
Good afternoon, Cannon! It's the season of miracles! We went from a "chance for snow showers" in our forecast to receiving 6"- 8" across the hill and it's still coming down. Patrol is expecting to drop some ropes in the morning pending inspection so check the report in the morning! There is also skiable access to the Tram, however, the terrain is thin cover, ungroomed, experts only, and pending patrol inspection in the morning. Tomorrow the weather is calling for single digits at the base and negative numbers at the summit. Please be sure to bundle up!
The Groomers will be out on 20 trails overnight. You can expect powder and packed powder in the morning. The Snowmakers will continue their efforts on Gary's, Rocket, Lakeside, Time Zone, Tram Cutback, Rock Garden, Lower Cannon, Lower Gremlin, and Brookside, so be prepared to ski under some guns tomorrow. Just a quick heads up, the Snowmakers will be using Zoomer lift during the day to access the Front5 terrain. If you see Zoomer spinning, it is NOT open yet and there will be no access for the public. We will have you on the front as soon as we can!
7 lifts are scheduled to spin tomorrow, 6 at 8:30AM: Cannonball Quad, Peabody Quad, Tuckerbrook Quad, Brookside Triple, Valar T-Bar, and Huckerbrook Handle Tow. The Tram will be open with an 8:15AM ride up for first tracks. 9:00AM, walk-ons are welcome. Last Tram up will be at 3:00PM. Last ride down will be at 3:45PM.
Snowmaking: Gary's, Rocket, Lakeside, Tram Cutback, Skateway, Lower Gremlin, Lower Cannon, Rock Garden, Brookside and Time Zone. Snowmakers are working to get us to Zoomer Lift and the Tram as fast as possible!
Terrain Parks are back! Cannon Parks are making a triumphant return this winter. Get your park legs back in shape in Huckerbrook Park with small features including a jump line and a few rails. The lowest section of Tossup is locked in with 3 sets of medium jumps.
The Skinning route is CLOSED. There will be no uphill travel until the entire route is open and we have more terrain to spread folks out.
Bag check is now FREE! Reminder, no bags or coolers can be left unattended in the lodges. But we just made it easier for you, head downstairs in Peabody and take advantage of the self-serve bag check and don't leave your stuff outside or in the cold car!
The Aerial Tramway Opens for the Season Saturday, Dec 21!
Whether we can ski there or not the Aerial Tramway opens this weekend! Snowmakers will begin firing on the Front5 Thursday and we will work to get you skiing to Tram as fast as we possibly can. In the Meantime, walk-on traffic is welcome. Skier traffic is welcome too, just remember, if you start your day at the Tram you will have to take the Tram back down at the end of your day to get back to your car. Don't forget to book your Tram tickets in advance to save some money! Get More Info Here!
