Lafayette Campground & Cannon RV Park

Nestled in the heart of the Franconia Notch State Park, Lafayette Place Campground is the perfect place to set up base camp. Enjoy easy access to hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, and all White Mountain attractions. There are 97 campsites (1 is reserved for youth group camping). Each campsite is wooded with a picnic table, parking, and an open firepit. The lodge at the entrance houses the registration desk and Camp Store with a selection of camping supplies, souvenirs and firewood. Restroom facilities and coin operations showers are available 24/7.

• Primitive winter camping with limited sites and facilities starting October 14, 2025.

• Please check in before going to your site. If you arrive after hours proceed to your reserved site and check-in the next morning. 

Facilities 24/7

• Shower and restrooms are available 24hrs/day but may close for cleaning.

Camp Store 8am-9am Daily

• The store is stocked with basic necessities and snacks
• Delivery to your campsite is available upon request (staff dependent).

Campground Reservations

• Online reservations are required- no walk-ins.
• Do not occupy a site that you did not reserve in advance. 

The 7-site RV park, located on the north shore of scenic Echo Lake, provides a great base from which to enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, and all the attractions in the White Mountains. This park provides three-way hook-ups, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Cannon Mountain RV Park is open year-round by reservation

RV Park Reservations

• Reservations are required year-round- New Hampshire State Parks has partnered with Reserve America to offer our guests a high quality reservation service. The dedicated toll-free number to call to make a reservation through the Reserve America Call Center is: 1-877-nhparks (1-877-647-2757) or visit www.reserveamerica.com.
• DO NOT pull into an open site - If you have not made a reservation through Reserve America, check the reservation sheet at the ticket booth. DO NOT pull into an open site with a RESERVED sign on it or into a site indicated as occupied on the reservation sheet.
• Reservations are strongly recommended and take priority over walk-ins - If you pull into a site with an existing reservation you WILL HAVE TO VACATE that site.
• Walk-Ins are only accepted on a first-come first-served basis off-season beginning Columbus Day through the Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend

RV Park Rules 

• Pets are Prohibited - If you make a reservation and bring a pet with you, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation, deny access to the site and provide a refund, minus applicable fees.
• Trash must be disposed of properly - All trash must be dropped off at the Lakeside General Store at Echo Lake Beach (adjacent to the RV Park) during business hours when a Franconia Notch State Park employee is present. Before or after business hours when employees are not present, please carry-out your trash. Please do not leave trash outside unattended at any time. We appreciate your cooperation.
• All camping vehicles must be self-contained - There is no guarantee of availability of restroom facilities at Echo Lake Beach. There are no showers at Echo Lake Beach. From June 14 - Labor Day, restroom facilities are available 9am-6pm daily. From Labor Day weekend through Columbus Day weekend, restroom facilities at Echo Lake Beach will only be available 10am-5pm Fridays - Sundays, closed Mondays - Thursdays.
• Overnight camping is not allowed in the parking lot - Overnight camping is permitted ONLY in RV Sites 1-7.
