To a non-skier the term "bluebird" is merely just another flying feathered friend, but to us it signifies some of the most memorable days on the hill. Today was one of those days. Another bluebird day may be in store for Friday as the forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and seasonable temps reaching the mid 30s at base elevations. Now wait just a second before you start breaking out the sunglasses & t-shirts...winter is hardly over and the extended forecast would back that up. Periods of snow are predicted at times through the weekend and a potential significant storm may be materializing toward the middle of next week. We have the most open trails in the state after 11 feet of snow this season (also the most in NH) - come and get some while you still can.
Friday - We're scheduled to open at 9am with 67 trails and 5 main lifts, including the 70-Passenger Aerial Tramway (view the lift report for a full lift schedule). Groomers plan to hit 51 of 67 trails overnight - expect mostly packed powder surface conditions from top-to-bottom. Use caution on the ungroomed terrain and stay on open trails only. Please note that race training will take place in the morning on Lower Ravine & Turnpike and in the afternoon on Cannonball.
