Cannon picked up 6 inches of new snow early Friday AM (higher elevations), which is 3 times more than any other ski area in the state. Obviously, Cannon is the place to ski/ride this weekend.

The Mittersill lift is open 8:30-3:30 on weekends only through April 5th*. The terrain remains open on weekdays with access from Taft Slalom. You may encounter thin cover and natural hazards in spots. Mittersill is for experts only. *The Mittersill lift will close for the season after April 5th, but the Mittersill terrain will be open through April 12th. Then, trail maintenance/construction will be in progress.
Let's talk statistics: 1.) Cannon has recorded the most snow in NH this season. 2.) Cannon picked up 6" of new snow early Friday morning in the higher elevations, which is 3 times more than any other NH ski area. 3.) Cannon is the only ski area in the state to log over 15 feet of snow this season, which is a foot more than second place. Also, we're still 100% open with the most trails in the state...and that doesn't even include Mittersill. Did we mention that Cannon is the tallest ski area in NH, with the largest vertical drop as well. Saturday we welcome the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge Finals, so expect a bustling base lodge, but there's still plenty of snow to go around (catch an early Tram to get the most out of your day). Cannon is the obvious choice for this weekend.
Saturday - We're scheduled to open with all 81 trails, plus Mittersill, and 9 lifts. The main lifts open at 8:30 (including Eagle Cliff), but the first-tracks Tram departs at 8:15, and the secondary lifts spin at 9 (see the lift report for a complete lift schedule). Please note this correction - The Mittersill Terrain will now remain open through April 12th (weather permitting), which was previously mis-reported as April 5th, but the Mittersill lift still closes for the season after April 5th. You can expect mostly packed powder surface conditions, but you may still encounter some variable spots along the way. There are leftover powder stashes to be discovered as well, especially in the higher elevations. Lower Gremlin will be closed to the public for the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge. Other racing/race training may be in progress on Jasper's, Banshee and Time Zone.
It's March and that means Spring Sales...
