Proper winter is settling into the region, and the extended forecast promises below average temps and daily chances for new snow through this week and beyond. Snowmaking is currently fired-up on Tramway and Profile (amongst others); expect to find some of the best snow surfaces on trails where snowmaking is in progress. We plan to make a significant snowmaking push over the next couple of weeks, plus it looks good for natural snow as well, so conditions should only improve with every passing day.

Monday
 - We're scheduled to open at 9am with 40 trails and 6 main lifts, including Mittersill and the Tram (see the trail & lift report for a complete breakdown). Please note: Access to Mittersill is only available from Rabbit Path in the Tuckerbrook Area (w/ active snowmaking on Rabbit Path). Groomers plan to hit most open terrain overnight – expect mostly loose granular/frozen granular surface conditions with variable spots and thin cover in places. Race training will be taking place in the morning on Rocket, which remains open to the public.

Looking Ahead - As many ski areas prepare to shut-down snowmaking for the season, we plan to continue as long as possible to provide some of the best eastern skiing/riding into the spring. A plethora of re-surfacing is in the cards for terrain like Tramway, Upper Cannon, ByPass, Spookie, as well as the Tuckerbrook Area and Front 5. Stay tuned.
